I’ve been using Uber over the last 2 years, I’ve had my fair share of funny experiences, from crying on the phone while my poor Uber driver had to listen to me, stuck in some bad traffic and having to ask for the AUX cord to sing away my traffic anxiety or even the time I had to do my makeup while rushing to work and spilling some foundation on my Uber driver’s seat (Sorry UBER driver). None the less, I’ve been grateful to have the option of being chauffeured around town….
Yesterday I had the pleasure of checking out Miami Plastic Surgery (@MiamiPlasticSurgery) where I got a ‘Vampire Facial’ with Certified Physician Assistant, Tanya Patron, @miamiplasticsurgery_pa whom might I say is just fabulous and easily one of the sweetest people I’ve come across, she walked me through everything step by step and made me feel completely comfortable. I got tons of questions about what a vampire facial is via my Instagram so I decided to talk about it a bit….
It's no surprise that I love to repurpose my clothing. This Voltron shirt use to be a plain graphic tee, that is before my scissors and I had some fun. I paired this choppy grunge crop top with royal blue palazzo pants from Zara. Wide-leg trousers do a short girl such justice! Not only does it elongate my legs, but the high waste really gives me a tiny tummy. The playful flowy bottom really fancied up the edginess of this top.
How to handle shade & not throw it, but just completely stay the hell away from it. Why people throw shade is really quite simple. They are shady. Shady people are everywhere, all shapes, all size, and colors. How does one handle shade thrown there way? Honestly I struggled with this for such a long time. I've always been sensitive and emotional so any slight bit of shadiness would turn me into a complete cry baby. Through the years I've grown a bit, I went from a cry baby to a toddler. Now I've come to the terms that I'm still very emotional but I've learned that peoples shady ways are only a reflection of their own insecurities or jealousy and not exactly about me.....
Fashion rules aside, does anyone else embrace an all white look year around like I do? No matter where you're headed, there's something about an all-white ensemble that keeps things simple, yet chic, and confident. There’s really no secret trick to wearing an all-white outfit either – everyone can pull it off and look absolutely gorgeous.
My hair can be hard to handle sometimes, actually.. I can be pretty hard to handle at times too, but that’s another post for another day. On a casual day when I don’t want to seem as if 'I just woke up like this’ but not how Queen Bey talks about waking up cute and flawless, I mean the literal term, just woke up and hair is flying around; a total mess, my go-to is a hat. Baseball hats are fun and really trendy right now so it’s a win-win. The hat that you’ve seen on my SnapChat, Instagram and now this blog post is my new favorite accessory for everything I wear. I try to be open minded, in all aspects of life but especially my wardrobe choices. This look could have easily been a nice outfit for the evening being I have heels and a lace-y bra showing, but since I decided to wear it during the day I went with my mane tamer, a hat to make the look a bit more casual.
