Urban dictionary: SHADE: acting in a casual or disrespectful manner towards someone/dissing a friend example: throwing shade, acting kinda shady
How to handle shade & not throw it, but just completely stay the hell away from it. Why people throw shade is really quite simple. They are shady. Shady people are everywhere, all shapes, all size, and colors. How does one handle shade thrown their way? Honestly, I struggled with this for such a long time. I've always been sensitive and emotional so any slight bit of shadiness would turn me into a complete cry baby. Through the years I've grown a bit, I went from a cry baby to a toddler. Now I've come to the terms that I'm still very emotional but I've learned that people's shady ways are only a reflection of their own insecurities or jealousy and not exactly about me.
When shade is being tossed your way put your baseball gloves on, get in your stance and catch that bad boy. The thought of throwing it right back at this shady individual will try to consume your mind, don't let it, instead just toss it straight in the trash. You are bigger than any shade coming your way. This past two years or so I've dealt with the separation of old and new friends and even family, it wasn't always easy but for the most part, it helped me to learn about myself and to stop being so damn emotional. With this being said, shade was definitely in the air and coming straight at me, from every angle. I learned through trial and error that the best way of handling shade and shadiness from shadier people is to wear really nice sunglasses. Kidding, kinda. No, but really life is amazing and there is much to offer if we just let go of the shade coming our way and focus on the positive things ahead. Be kind, be focused and smile.
To block the shade, I have on these amazing Zaful sunglasses that my fashion friend Juliana told me about and I'm completely obsession, plus the price makes it a no-brainer. Check them out, and let me know how you block the shade coming your way.
